Kevin Bright is an autodidact artist who has been living in New York City since 2000. In the mid 1990s, he left Pratt Institute and began studying and making art on his own. Ellen Gallagher, Clyfford Still, Cy Twombly, and Donald Baechler are among artists who made a lasting impression on him and helped define the direction of his work. Bright has curated exhibitions in New York and Berlin. In 2011, he worked as part of the exhibition design team that produced Savage Beauty, the Alexander McQueen Retrospective at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
